In DNP820 Health Policy and Advocacy, students explore the economic, financial, and political factors that shape healthcare delivery and examine policy reform within legal, regulatory, ethical, societal, and organizational contexts. “Health Policy and Advocacy” emphasizes the critique of policy processes, critical analysis of legislative and governmental influences on healthcare, and the use of emotional intelligence as a strategy for advocacy and change. Students will develop strategies to influence, implement, and evaluate current policies and understand the role of government in healthcare delivery.
