DNP850B Project Proposal

Prerequisite:

DNP850A

DNP850B Project Proposal is a continuation of DNP850A Project Planning. Under the guidance of a Project Committee, students will contextualize their project within the relevant academic literature. Building on this foundation, students will refine the project’s methodology and complete the necessary CITI training to conduct their research. During the course, students will finalize the first three chapters of their DNP Capstone Project, ensuring alignment with the Academic Quality Review guidelines for evidence-based projects. Additionally, students will prepare and present their project proposal, defending it verbally to gain approval from their Project Committee and proceed with the IRB application. By the end of the course, students will have obtained all site-specific IRBs or permissions and formally submitted their application to Aspen University’s IRB. This course fulfills a program requirement and is not eligible for transfer credit.

Intensive practice immersion experiences are integral to the development of a practice-focused DNP Capstone Project. Upon completing both the A and B versions of this DNP Project course, students are required to document a combined total of 280 logged practice hours.
