DNPC 660 Advanced Leadership and Financial Decision Making for Complex Systems Management, examining both theoretical frameworks and practical applications in complex healthcare delivery systems. Through this course, students will investigate various healthcare organizations to understand how leadership, finance, technology, and system complexity influence care delivery. They will analyze budgets, financial statements, insurance/reimbursement models, cost-effectiveness strategies, and methods for cost avoidance. Moreover, students will explore the pivotal role of the Doctor of Nursing Practice in formulating system-wide strategies aimed at enhancing cost-effectiveness, promoting health equity, and improving care outcomes. This course will also differentiate between traditional systems management and the unique challenges of healthcare systems and financial management.
