NURS 6531 – Advanced Practice Care of Adults Across the Lifespan
In this class, students discover how nurse practitioners make decisions when taking care of adults. They learn about figuring out and treating common health issues in adults and older adults. The assignments focus on understanding physical and behavioral problems that help diagnose illnesses. Students also practice planning and carrying out treatment plans for common illnesses in a regular healthcare setting. They gain confidence through hands-on experiences in a healthcare setting, where they learn how to plan and evaluate treatments for adults with both short-term and long-term health issues. (Before taking this class, students need to complete NURS 6501, NURS 6511, and NURS 6521. Please note: This class involves at least 144 hours of practical training.)
